Default Select contact from address book

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Im new to BlackBerry development, but has worked with regular J2me for a while. I am trying to develop an application that needs to input a phone number.

In regular J2me, using TextField.PHONENUMBER, the TextField not only restrict to just valid phone numbers, but can also select a contact from the address book.

In BlackBerry, is there a ui component that does the 2 things:
- accepts only phone numbers
- select a phone number from address book

Thanks

I found some answers to my own question..

Using EditField setFilter(new PhoneTextFilter()) can change the input to the field.

To select contact from the address book, i think Invoke API can be used. Can someone verify this? Im sure many developers have done this before.. i just need a confirmation of the correct way.
