Default DM doesnt wanna update my phone =(

i got a pearl 8130 with sprint.

i got the newest software from the sticky in the 8100 forum.

got the newest DM and it doesnt wanna let me load the system applications.


i am trying to reinstall the BB messenger because i deleted it and its not working


any ideas?

Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

What does happen, you said doesn't want to, any detail will help as that is sorta vague.

i didnt know about the Vendor thing. on my tmo, it was just plug n go. but i fixed it with the delete vendor.xml.

The vendor.xml file must be deleted if you install an OS that is released from another carrier...For example, if you want to install an Alltel released OS (because it's newer) on your Sprint 8130 then you'll need to delete the vendor.xml file in order for DM to load it to your 8130. If you download a Sprint released OS then you don't have to delete it. It works that way on ALL BB's. Any OS from any carrier will work (same device only) on any BB but the vendor.xml needs to go.
