Blackberry 8130 Crashes when USB'd to Mac

Hello All,
Relatively new to this board and I have found it often very helpful when resolving issues with my blackberry. In this case, its my wife's pearl. We are trying to sync with the Mac Address Book using PocketMac, but the blackberry is crashing as soon as it is connected to the mac. When i say crashing, i mean it power cycles. Not sure what is going on. It does not happen with my pearl.
Any shared ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
