To be nice about it...
1. Nope.
2. No one knows, as they aren't publically available yet - let's just say that I know they will atleast work on the later .3xx versions (higher than .350), if not earlier (but no way of knowing until we get them and can test against earlier versions).
3. The carriers obviously have ties to RIM that normal users don't. They have likely contracted RIM for the themes, or perhaps RIM has made the theme and offered it off to the highest bidding carrier. Either way, its not the carriers making the themes - or shall I say its not them creating the functionality - its RIM/Plazmic. Since there is a Dimension-Today theme, I'm sure it came prior to the Vodafone-Today theme. We may, and likely will, see more carrier-branded Today themes as time passes on.

it is going to take a newer OS than what is out now, so let some of your hopes drown now.

Kind of interesting, but the Vodafone Today theme does *not* allow you to open up the Pictures application - its faded out. However, it is available on the Dimension Today theme. Anyhow, here's some screenshots for you all to see it in a bit better light than the 8707 screenshots.

give them another month or so. the dimension today theme isn't really that nice, imho. i guess with an nice background and adequate font combination, it could look okay. see the screenshots.

Woohoo. But a months a long time... What do you actually do to the files if you'v already got them on yours, do they need some form of provider checks removing or something?

If you physically have the files, then you'll need to upgrade to the Telstra OS (the only one currently available at a level that supports these themes) and can load them with the ALX file I have listed in the Ringtones/Themes forum.

Just figured out that Pictures was hidden - wasn't quite sure what that was, as I never really hide icons at all. Anyhow, here's what I've figured out so far - in the Organize Applications list, anything that is faded is a hidden application and anything that has an underlined letter is a shortcut-enabled application, with the underlined letter denoting the shortcut key. Here are the ones that are listed:
Sa ved Messages
Search
Calc ulator
Compose
MemoPa d
Tasks
Contacts
Ala rm
Pro files
Sett ings
Keyboard Lock
Enterprise Messenger ( Q)
Looks like C is a shortcut key for both Compose and Contacts. If both are enabled, then the first one that was selected will be the shortcut key (e.g - Contacts was shown and Compose was hidden, so if I enable Compose, then Contacts will still be the shortcut key; however, if I hide Contacts, then Compose will be the active C shortcut key).

Some nice adjustmens to the new Telstra software is that when saving an image from the web it gives you option to use as home screen image, also in options network it gives you option to turn data off.

So they both need 4.1.0.371? any ideas when this will surface for the 7100t series? Or if i can add certain .cod files via javaloader from the 8700 os installer to alow it to run?
Also Jibi where did you receive the theme files from, are you able to share the 240x260 versions so i can experiment with a cross bread os?
