Phone arrived at 4:20PM. It's new. Charged it and activated it, but this one feels funny. The sure press is extremely stiff at the bottom left to the point where I cannot press the green send button (to the left of the menu) without great difficulty. I am hoping this is just initial stiffness, but my prior Storm2 did not have this at all. Otherwise the phone is fine and cosmetically perfect.

I found that both my 8520's had an initial stiffness to them when I first got them, and the stiffness was not the same. They both loosened up to a nice feel after awhile, but I have not had experience with the Storm so I cannot comment.
Glad this is starting to look better for you!

Still stiff, but not as bad. I think my now long gone Storm2 was superior, but this one ain't bad so I will stick with it and hope it improves with use. Just having a Blackberry again is a God-send. I was going crazy without it. Amazing how quickly we come to rely on these things.

My friend had this happen with his mother's Verizon Curve.
A very calm person, who never swears, was brought to yell "you know what verizon F*** YOU" after 15 Years with them, terminated the service, and now they are happy AT&T iPhone users.
This is like a month after him bragging to me "oh, we've never had a problem wth verizon, they are the best."

After reading this, I feel alot better about dropping my Asurion insurance this past week. At $72 a year, if something goes wrong with my BlackBerry, I can put that $50 deductible towards a new device instead of getting a refurb.

It's a horror, people. It is. My new Storm 2 started acting very strange in recent days. Touch screen was F'd up. Hard to use. Kept rebooting.
I updated to the newest software and now it is perfect. Touch screen actually works better than it ever did.

Glad you finally got it resolved. That's the problem w/ most cell providers. They are great until you have a problem and then good luck finding someone who can/will help you.

Asurion is the biggest PITA that I've ever encountered. Plus the $50 (or $80 to replace some smart phones) in addition to the $8 /month is crap, especially when they send you a refurbished phone.
On my last upgrade (9630 to 9650) I kept the old 9630 and canceled the insurance on both the wife's and my phones. I paid $30 more for a 1 year contract to get the 9650. I now save the $16/month on insurance, have my old Tour as a spare should either of our phones go missing or get damaged, plus get an upgrade discount every 10 months.
The money I was paying for insurance now goes into a kitty for a new phone, and by the time 12 months go by, the new phone is, in essence, free.
