Agreed! That's what I am looking for. I just upgraded from an 8700 to the Bold, and love it, but that flap on top of the case is a pain. Ideally I'd have the case style of the plastic 8700 holster, or, a sturdier leather pocket with a clip. Anything that would eliminate the top flap.
And maybe it is just me, but compared to the 8700, it is a pretty weak vibrate, and I blame the case for that (along with the thinner size of the phone, figuring, you have to sacrifice something).
But after 24 hours of ownership, I'm loving this thing big time..Santa came early this year..
