Thumbs up jivetalk

Just purchased the full user license for $29.95 it is well worth it. This program is worth every penny and people should run for this offer while you don't need a yearly subscription. Thanks again JiveTalk has been great and alot friendlier to use than the others. I can't wait for the myspace feature.

Has anyone else received any "pop up" error messages with JT 1 ? I started receiving about a paragraph long pop up error message. The error message is about as long as this first paragraph.

I dont know if its JT 1 or the new bubbles chat style. I never received this error before version 1 and am now trying another chat style to see if it is the bubble style or not.

So far so good. It looks like I only get the error message I mentioned above with the new bubbles style on the Pearl.

If I buy a device license, can I upgrade to user license later? Just in case my new bb doesn't have msn integrated... It should be like an call option...

It is from the first post

"In summary, a device license is a perpetual license tied to a single device, non-transferable, whereas a full user license is a perpetual license tied to the user and full transferable across devices."

The question is, Is the device key upgradeable?

Currently the device key is not upgradable. So if you need to use the software on another device (unless it's a defect replacement), you'll need another license.

Wirelessly posted (8703e Sprint: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

I think I may have discovered a bug. Let me know if it is just my device.

In the Preferences, I have 'login with last status'checked.

This feature does not seem to work. I have tried it a few different ways (forced shutdown, log-out the back in, last status checked and unchecked, every scenario I can think of).

I do have it set to a custom status (On My Blackverry), could that be the problem?

Love the application, let me know if this is something that I am doing wrong.

Default Preview Build for JiveTalk v1.0.1 Available

In the spirit of continuing to gather feedback from our users, we have made a preview of our upcoming 1.0.1 build available.

This next release is primarily devoted to file transfers, currently supporting transfers for AIM and ICQ only. You can transfer files (send or receive) with any other AIM client that supports native AIM file transfers (AIM desktop, Trillian, iChat, etc.). There is a limit of ~ 512 k per file if you're using BIS transport, there are no limits if you're using TCP.

The readme for this preview build explains what's involved:

Because of OS and device limitations. The preview build is for 8100, 8300, and 8800 series devices only. Those are the only devices with the required MicroSD card and 4.2 OS capabilities.

If you have one of the above devices and are interested in trying the build, please point your browser to beejive :: JiveTalk mobile messaging. There is also a link to the preview download from the main download page on our website.

No, you cannot. The internal upgrade is for production releases only. We will probably run 1.0.1 as a preview and try to incorporate public feedback into the final 1.0.1 build. Once the production version is released, you'll be able to upgrade from within the app.

Am I correct in assuming that the final v1.0.1 release will run on ALL currently supported devices as opposed to just the 8100, 8300, and 8800 for the beta?

That's correct. The final 1.0.1 version will run on all devices, but the file transfer feature will only work on the 8100, 8300, and 8800. We didn't include builds for other devices in the preview because of the lack of MicroSD support.

This App Is The Best!!

It would be great if you guys could add to future version, that when you get a call and the app looses connection, that you wont get logged off AIM, and when the call ends and it reconnects to your server, we could get all the IM. So basically, you don't get logged out of aim not matter what unless you select log out from within the application. I'm sure this is not something really difficult to do, maybe some minor changes in the server end and wola.
