I'm with rogers running 4.2.2.89 (platform 2.4.0.42) Is there a need to update? Will I notice anything different? A lot of the replies are based on loading this firmware on their non-rogers curve's. Has anyone done this with a Rogers 8300?

You already have this software on your 8300. Those with non-Rogers devices had other (older) software versions.

I had the opposite, my BlackBerry is so much faster after the upgrade.

Get the new one from here:

and place it on your PC here:

c:/program files/common files/research in motion/apploader

If that folder doesn't exist on your PC then you need to install the OS package to your PC.
