Yes, there will be. Of course you can add the RSS feed from BlackBerryNews to your browser as it is.

I missed this:
(load only to OS 4.2 and higher devices ONLY;

...and consequently killed my phone. I really need it for work... Ironically, I was going to do a backup tonight as I added a ton of autotext, emails, sms messages, and browser favorites this week.

Is there any way I can do a backup without completing reformatting/wiping it clean??

Please help!!

Unfortunately, there is no way to backup the device. You can reload the OS but the data is gone. If you're on a BES your data will come back during activation. If BIS only, sorry.

I don't know of a way. I wish we had one, it would be a very popular tool. I would point you to the JL_cmder application, but I don't think it will work here to "save" the device and your data, but it will certainly "save" your device to reload the OS again.

I'm sorry, again. We have the warning on this posted very conspicuously for this reason.

I did much testing of these and bricked my old 7290 multiple times before getting these ready for launch. The error that it causes is not recoverable beyond a full reload of the OS. There is no way to get to the data. I wish we had better news for you.

How do I get the links to download on my Blackberry? I can get to the links on my desktop computer, but I cannot get to the links on my Blackberryfor an over the air download.
Incidently, I have a Blackberry 8700 which originally had verson 4.1 OS, but is now running 4.2 over BES. I have read the warnings about loading the wrong versions of the shortcuts and want to make sure that I download the correct version. I presume that I can download the OS 4.2 and over version.

Use the "OTA" links for downloading directly to your BB. Yes, if you have OS 4.2, use the 4.2 and higher links.

Just type the ota link in your BB browser.

Thanks John,
I copied the links into an e-mail to myself, tapped on the links in the e-mail on my Blackberry and everything is working fine (after ignoring an "uncaught exception" error).
I agree. Great applications!!!
I skipped the oportunity to upgrade my 8700 to a Curve and am holding out for the Bold, which if you believe the Rogers release date forum, should be out at Rogers' stores next week. Should I hold off downloading third party applications to the Bold (I know I am getting ahead of myself), such as these short cuts, until proven on the Bold's new operating system?
