I would add that the footprint of these apps should be as small as possible, to conserve internal memory.
I would love to see the ability to install and run apps off the memory card.
My other "unwritten" app is Pocket Informant for BB. ![Razz](http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif) I know it's in the works, but I've been waiting patiently and it's taking a LONG time! Until I see it, it's still in the unwritten category.

What would be nice is on 4.3 - along the lines of the last post, if they (RIM) can work that into the memory cleaner, hell yeah that would be awesome. Possibly have something of a schedule to to auto clean as well!

Threaded SMS is the only thing I can think of. Everything else i'm perfectly happy with.

I would like a utility that would allow me to create and use multiple profiles to be used throughout the day, switching between them during scheduled times. There are times I want to receive audible alerts on all incoming data traffic, times I want alerts for e-mails and phone calls only, and times for level 1 messages only.
For example, I'd use one profile during normal business hours, another during the early evening, and then switching to another one for overnight hours.

Complete Desktop Manager
Noob - post numero uno.
I want a complete desktop manager. Anything I can manage, alter, select, delete, move, position, etc, etc. on my BlackBerry - I want to be able to do on a PC which has a screen size about 30 times as large and an easily controllable mouse.
I've searched for a while and have not found anything. It's not in BlackBerry Desktop Manager (4.2) where it should be.
Thanks.

Pocket Informant is a complete PIM (Personal Information Manager) that has been wildly successful for Windows Mobile and is being ported to Blackberry. One of my pet peeves with the Blackberry has been what I consider a weak calendar, and there really are no replacements available. Pocked Informant aims to change that and give us a choice of PIMs for the Blackberry.

That would be very nice program to use if I somehow lost my blackberry.

I would spam my kids phone with this. As long as it can be disabled from the phone, I really like this idea.

the new themes will allow this to be customized. For instance, if you dont want missed calls, and only want calendar, you could have the next, i *think*, 10 appointments show on the screen.

List them here--I am curious as to need, not debate over whether "everyone" needs that application, but just your need.
Such as, examples:
-Automatic TimeZone Change application
-Threaded SMS viewer
-Automatic wallpaper changer
Thanks!

GPS driven application for waking you when on the bus or train (the latter only being really reliable on elevated trains or otherwise not underground) and are approaching your stop.

I just saw an new program, a new "shutter" sound muter available on Crackberry. ($3.95) It says it isn't compatible with CDMA devices though.

I agree with the automatic wallpaper change and flashlight! While we are on that subject, I think screen savers seem kind of fitting too, I don't know why, (ya it would waste battery life) but it just seems so fitting sometimes. I think I catch myself staring at my blackberry sometimes, waiting for a screen saver to pop up, I must be confusing it with my PC. While we are on the flashlight subject, I know this can't be done with software or anything, but I've always felt the blackberry needs a light up charging port!!! Constantly, I find myself struggle at night to plug the charger in with the lights off, and the backlight really don't help! Of course I have a charging dock now.
A restart button would be nice too. A reset option to go along with the power off option, and the reset should be a hard reset too. I use crlt+alt+del, but my phone does funky stuff after it.
Also, I really wish there was a built in stopwatch, just like the on that comes on the iphone, that would be very useful for me!
-automatic wallpaper change
-flashlight
-screen saver
-light up charging port?
-reset button/option
-built in stopwatch
