Default BB and Exchange migration

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,
I have a question regarding migrating our Blackberry's from exchnage 5.5 to 2003. Currently we have our Blackberry users hosted on an Exchnage 5.5 box. The blackberry server points to this and our BB clients access their mail fine. I've inherited a network migration and currently have a new exhcnage 2003 server in a seperate Exchange organisation. I have configured the exchnage servers so that they can successfully mail between the systems and externally. As a blackberry server can only point to one exchange organisation i have a new server built with windows 2003, not installed the Blackberry server part yet. Will i be able to use the existing licenses on the new server and move the users over to the new server one by one ? I currently have a number of users on the new server who have blackberry's but as yet they arent receiving mail. Any information help or guides are much appreicated.
thanks in advance

Dan

Dan, you can use the licences fine. the issue will be the SRP, you cannot have an SRP used on more than 1 machine, the 2 servers will fight to be the one "logged in" with that SRP and auth code, after about 60 seconds the SRP will be locked out and unuseable for about an hour or 2.

Is your new Exchange org in a different domain to the old one.

You did not mention it, and you can join NT domain servers to an Active Directory, and you can also add old echange 5.5 orgs to Active Directory domains and migrate gradually, exactly what path are you taking here ?

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately this is a migration that i picked up that had already been started.
The new network is a different domain and different exchange organisation than the old one. This was done before i was brought on board to complete the network migration. The two networks are coexisting through trust relationships and the active directory connector. I can't move the existing BB server over to the new network and so i need the new server to coexist with the old one. It looks like i am going to struggle to do this though with the current setup as i will ahve to move all the BB users over in one go. This is going to be tricky as they are in different deparrtments and will migrate at different times.
