I got my 8830 Blackberry unlocked it is working fine. I have few issues

1. Its shows Blackberry 4.2 core application / software.

in case if I upgrade to 4.5 version the handset works or will it get unlocked again. Then there are other issues like Ringtone is too low and other features are not upto to the mark. I appreciate your suggestion Thanks.

Don't mean to thread jack, but how do you unlock your 8830. I want to unlock my 8830 as an Backup. I looked on Horizon Wireless, seems as they don't do VZW.
