Default BES not working

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everybody,

I am currently running
(1) BES v4.0 with MSDE on W2K Server
(2) Exchange 5.5 (SP4) with appropriate CDO.dll hot fix
(3) MDAC 2.81
(4) Firewall with port 3101 opened

After setting up BES 4.0, I did the following few things:
(1) Ran the bbsrptest command line tool to test the connection to the blackberry infrastructure - successful
(2) In Blackberry server configuration, Test SQL server connection - Successful
(3) Validate SRP key and ID - Valid

But still, the following warning and error messages keep showing in the event log of our BES Server.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: BlackBerry Synchronization Service
Event Category: None
Event ID: 16027
Description:
[SYNC-Gate] Can't find BES(AONBES) related SRP data in ServerConfig table.

Event Type: Error

Event Type: Error
Event Source: BlackBerry Dispatcher AONBES
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10112

Event Type: Error

Event Category: None
Event ID: 10258

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sounds like the database did not populate correctly. Perhaps you can run through the Change Database option in Server Configuration utility in the hopes it will populate the DB.

Unhappy

I have run through the Change Database option in Server Configuration utility but no luck.

The documentation on the database setup is poor. Besides the database problem I am having, does anyone know why the BlackBerry Synchronization/Dispatcher Service can't be started?

Can anyone shed any light on this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
