When I try and send email to a hotmail account over BIS for some reason it does not arrive in my hotmail inbox. It will save a copy of my sent message in my BIS sent items but never reaches its destination. Have checked junk folders etc. any suggestions?

Hi we have the same problem in reverse, any hotmail messege i send never arrives on the BB handset.
Im assuming BB must have a spam filter active.. although I have tried setting my own filter to allow delivery and it still doesn't arrive

hmm... Your situation at least sounds plausible. Cannot understand why I can't SEND to a hotmail address though! Just out of interest Who is your provider?

BIS doesn't have any filters - spam or otherwise - unless you set them up

howett - the emails leaving your handheld since it's arriving in youtr sent items - check the hotmail junk folder; it's possible your messages are being seen as spam and blocked

No, they haven't been going to the junk folder. Strangely, if i send an email to the hotmail account using the BIS webclient it arrives! Why not when i send from the BB?!
