Maybe I missed something here, or maybe it really won't be that hard to obtain this, but here is the message I received when trying to download the SDK from RIM (after the form sign-up information). Are they being a bit more cautious as to who can and can't download the SDK now?

The BlackBerry SDK v2.5, BlackBerry SDK v2.1, BlackBerry SDK v2.0 and RIM 850/857 Wireless Handheld™ SDK cannot be downloaded from the web site at this time. A member of RIM's Engineering Development Team will be in contact with you within one business day to provide the SDK.

nevermind. i guess they just want to be in charge of handing it out and who all is downloading it. fair enough. plus i guess i didn't really read too much about it and its for the older model BB's only.
