Default 8300 Questions

I'm contemplating purchasing the ATT 8300 Curve. I’ve never owned a BlackBerry before and I have some questions. 1) The 8300 is a quad band phone so it will work in most countries, right?, 2) Will it also receive emails while traveling abroad?, 3) I have a personal MSN plus email account, does BlackBerry email work with MSN plus accounts?

1. Yes (depending on plan IIRC)
2. Yes (same as above)
3. Not sure, I assume yes.

How do you transfer data in your Cingular (ATT) 8100 to an 8300, can you simply use backup in Desktop manager? Main concern is address book, the rest isn't a problem.

You honestly could use either the Backup wizard or the Switch Device wizard which will allow you to transfer the data from your old device to the new one. I am not sure if the Switch Device wizard is on the versions before 4.2 or not, but I hope that helps!

Ultimately, everything that is synced with your 8100 will be synced with your 8300 the minute you establish synchronization options.
