Hi all,
I am in the market for a new blackberry, but I'm on a budget. My blackberry pearl 8100 was accidentally dropped in a puddle of water, and I am looking to replace it. So as I was ebaying I saw there are 3 versions of the Pearl including ; the 8100, 8120, and 8130.
What are the differences? And which would you recommend?
I'm checking the links and researching. Some ebay auctions state the BB as "new"...well I'll just have to do some more investigating.
Check our FAQ for an article on "Buying a used BB from eBay". Some very valuable information there that could save you some grief later on. Buying a used BB isn't as simple as buying a used phone. Also do a SEARCH.
The 8130 (AT&T) and the 8120 (T-Mobile), are the newest versions of the Blackberry Pearl. The 8120 and 8130 have a slightly better camera (2 megapixel) and also have video capabilities in the camera. The 8120 also has wi-fi similar to the Curve and the 8800, allowing broadband web over your home network or available hotspots, and also allows internet calling.

I thought the 8130 was a CDMA phone through Sprint or Verizon? Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile

The video recording capability was brought by an OS update not hardware.
8820, 8320 had Wi-Fi.
