Voice dialing issues

I updated to .822 and all was working very well for days, now I cannot use voice dialing. the progress bar hits about 50% and then it just kicks out and returns to the home screen.
Is this a common thing for .822 or am I special?
I really dont want to have to reinstall or wipe the phone if at all possible
