Default Facebook App Err "A connection cannot be established to the facebook server"

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting the following error when i try to connect to to facebook via the facebook app on my VZW 8830:

"A connection cannot be established to the facebook server"

I have already removed the internet routing/filtering/blocking servicebooks imposed by my work for company email. In addition i have tried logging in using each email attached to my facebook account in addition to my phone number itself. And it is still giving me this error. I am using the latest version of the facebook app that came out a few days ago. Anyone have any ideas, or is anyone experiencing this same problem?
