Hi,

I just upgraded my BB-Pearl 8100 to the new device software v4.5. Everything is working just great! Today I did a synconization with my Laptop and the Update is asking me to install the core software v4.5 (which is already installed). Do I need to change something?

My Desktop Software version is 4.3.0.15 (August-2007). Maybe I should start downloading the v4.7 with Media Manager for the fun

But anyway, let me know if there is anything that I should do to make the system recognize thata my BB already has the v4.5 installed.

Solved!

The problem was that the first time I tried to upgrade my BB I used the Desktop Software and the Updater and the application was not detected. But, it was downloaded and installed as it appears under Control Panel - Uninstall/Change software.

Then I found a web site where I downloaded and run the upgrade manually without the Desktop software.

After everything was up and running, the first download remained in my computer. When I found the post from JC, about the Upgrader not listing the v4.5 upgrade, I checked under Control Panerl and found it.

After removing the item, I syncronized again and no Update pop-up appeared!
