Default Threaded SMS question

Please Login to Remove!

How are the SMS supposed to look....I am used to only having one entry from a certain person ....with all the threded chats in it like an Instanant messenger on Windows Mobile 6.1

Now each time some one texts me it starts a diff line....so I have 4 entrys from same person and each one has the threaded texts in all of them...is this right?

Am I missing something?

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 9530)

Yes that sounds right. BBs do not have threaded SMS IM style.

I like the way that the messages are setup on my Blackberry, but I heard there was a way to just show the messages from one contact on a Storm by holding, not clicking, on a message for a second or two from a contact and it would bring up all the messages from this contact.
I don't think this is what you are looking for but it might help you a little. Hope you enjoy the rest the Storm has to offer! I can't wait to get mine! Only a week or two yet!! :D

Well, on all blackberries afaik, when you open a sms message or reply to one from a contact, it will show the history of that message.

but yes, it does create the new incoming message as a new message in your folder, but when you open it, you will see the past messages. Pretty small thing to gripe about.

Not necessarily defensive, perhaps short is a better word.... and it's probably because this question has been asked/answered/debated over and over and over on this forum. A quick search would have revealed a plethora of information on this topic.
