Default Customise "Generate and Email Activation" email

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

Our company is moving from Domino to Exchange and thus, a new BES is in place.

Since chaning mail systems is such a horrowing process for users, we want to limit the amount of emails sent out.

Therefore, can I, or rather is it possible to customise the "Generate and Email Activation" email sent to users from the BES when generating an email? We want to be able to control when users can reactivate their BB's.

1. changing the text within it (not the actual password of course)
2. add an attachment

Help?

Many thanks.

You can customize it with BES 4.1 ... but I don't know of any way to add attachments.

ack! why would you add an attachment?

It is customizable, I've copied and pasted ours...

To activate your BlackBerry device - within the "Device Options" screen select "Enterprise Activation". Enter the password listed below to activate your BlackBerry to the Your Company Name BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). You will need to enter this password in the next 48 hours. Please see the example below:

Email: [email address]
Password: (listed below)

Click Activate on your BlackBerry. The activation process should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. If you are experiencing issues activating your Wireless device, please verify with your service provider (Verizon, Cingular etc.) that your account is provisioned for UNLIMITED access to a BES.

(BES Generated Password here)

Thanks hdawg.
I've read the link you posted and is straight forward so many thanks for that.

As for attachments, we're getting the users to activate their own BB when they come across to Exchange so we want to attach an instruction doco. If we can't, we can't no big deal.
