Default I have a few questions

Please Login to Remove!

1. What is the icon that look like the Blackberry symbol on the top of the screen

2. T-Mobile doesn't have 3G for Blackberry anymore?

3. I don't get any notification from facebook when I'm not on Wi-Fi. The icon in the 1st question disappear when I turn off the Wi-Fi. I have a unlimited web, talk, and text plan

1. Probably means you are connected to RIM. Would help to have a screen shot of it.

2. T-MO uses a different 3G frequency than AT&T. Your 9800 has the AT&T 3G frequencies, hence you can only get EDGE on T-MO.

3. Do you have a BB dataplan active on your account?

The little 4-dot symbol does mean you are connected to RIM's servers via a BlackBerry data plan. It only appears next to the 3G connection symbol or the wifi meter when on wifi. If you are on an Edge connection, the all-caps "EDGE" also indicates a BB data connection. There is no BB symbol to go with "edge", because they hadn't thought of it yet. Small case "edge" means you don't have a BB data plan.

As noted already, if you are using a Torch on T-Mobile, you won't get 3G service because their 3G frequency is different than what AT&T uses. And the Torch was made to use only AT&T's 3G frequencies. Edge works because they both use the same 2G (edge) frequencies.
