I have a user that used to have a Nextel blackberry and Nextel was forwarding his email to his phone through our pop3 server. Recently the user has upgraded his phone to a Sprint Pearl. He would now like to receive his mail through our current Enterprise server. We have 6 users that all run verizon and enterprise activation was a breeze. When I try to activate this phone I keep getting the Error has occurred message. Please see system administrator. I have checked the logs and these are the only relevent ones I can see pertaining to the new user.

I have seen similar posts but none of them have the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Did the user also upgrade their BlackBerry Data Plan to an Enterprise BlackBerry Data Plan? That would be a requirement.

routing=user@xyz.com This means that the user is setup for Desktop redirector and the user is not active on the BES.

Like Peguin3107 said make sure he has the proper data plan and then EA the user.

Thanks for the help everyone. I tried verifying this with the person who set the phone up and they said they had it setup right. Come to find out they ordered the wrong plan. Thanks again!

In my experience... 99% of the time this is the case. Glad it's sorted out.
