Unhappy Has any one replaced Mic in Curve 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys - Thought I would ask before attempting:

Has any of you guys replaced a Mic in Curve 8310. Is it possible at all? My mic stopped working and I'am out of warranty. It works with headset and bluetooth. Was wondering if I could replace it. I removed and checked it. The mic in the Curve 8310 looks like is attached to the mainboard.

But in ebay I was able to find the following part: (Mic for 8300 series)
hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/BLACKBERRY-CURVE-MICROPHONE-MIC-FOR-8300-8310-8320-8330_W0QQitemZ230297765182QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_A ccessories?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

Was wondering if I could order this. I'am not sure how it goes into the board.

Thanks!

The electrical contacs are on the circuit board. once you get the speaker in place when you start putting the phone back together the contacts will automatically make connections with the speaker, the trick is to keep the speaker in place. used a small soldering iron to heat the 2 plactic pins that fit into the speaker enclouser to keep it from falling out. you'll see what I'm talking about when you go to change it any problems pm me Jimmy I bought my speaker from cnn.com
