I recently bought a brand new BB curve and I am encountering errors during startup. Once the clock-like icon appears after you turn on the unit, it will not proceed with the start up, even if you leave it running for hours. Once in a while the screen will turn black and the blinking light on the upper right hand side will turn red. And then after few seconds the screen will turn on again, the light will switch to green/yellow, and the clock-like icon will appear again as if starting up.

My phone has an international warranty, but unfortunately I am having difficulty finding an authorized service center here in the philippines. The unit was bought outside our country.

Does it give an error code of any sort? Can you connect to Desktop Manager?

it does not give any error code, just the clock-like icon. I'm currently trying to connect to the desktop manager right now and getting updates, hoping it could somehow solve the problem. The desktop manager shows "Disconnected - Blackberry Desktop Manager" but it is proceeding with downloading the updates. I cant really say my BB is connected. No light whatsoever on my BB unit.
