Hello, all. I am having a major problem with my Blackberry that my company just issued to me, and it seems to be unique to me. When wearing my headset (a requirement in my company), I get a loud 'beep beep' whenever there is a group connect notification. When I receive a direct connect, I get a loud ring each time. When I say thing is loud, I mean LOUD! I have tried every possible combination of customizing profiles, user settings, etc., but I still receive the same loud sound. For instance, if I set the notification to vibrate, I get the vibrate - plus the loud beep or ring in my ear. My colleagues do not have this 'feature' on their 7520, and we cannot seem to shut mine off even though I have duplicated all of their settings on my Blackberry.

Anybody else experience this type of problem and maybe have a fix for it? Everytime I hear that beep I wanna put my head through a brick wall, especially since I am one of the only people who has it!

what headset?

I have tried both the standard headset as well as the Jabra Earwave Boom, both supplied by the Company. Both models work for the other Blackberry's with no problem.

so this isnt a blue tooth issue just a wired headset

Yup. Just wired. I've only had it about a week and am considering Bluetooth, if that will help.

Go with BT. I am using a Plantronics M2500 and it has worked out great. You can also read a number of reviews throughout this forum on a variety of BT headsets. Enjoy!!

i have used the scala 500 with out any problems until the latest upgrade yes its louder for me but the other folks cant understand a word i am saying even when standing still

Dawg, are you saying that you receive the beeps with your headset as well? Is your headsset wireless?

no i do not recieve them im just saying the audio is crap now
