Hmmm...trying to decide if I want to order it online or try and see if a local store gets them in today...

The spell checker was a great upgrade for me. We will play with the WiFi when we got home tonight!

The keyboard actually IS nicer feeling with a real click when each key is pressed. Even teh trackball seems to have "some" tactile feedback.

Angry Darn PTT, I hate you!

Looks the same to me but I don't use the headphone jack.

I really hate that I can not go to the application list and delete the PTT thing. I got rid of it on my 8700 but forgot how I did it! Why can't they just allow you to delete the damn thing? Is it because you could change your mind and they could make some money if you activate it?

to get rid of PTT do this (what i do)

copy your platform.alx somewhere as a backup

search through platform.alx and look for something like "pttapp" or "ptt" and somewhere at the end of that line it says vendor 102. change 102 to 220 and then connect your berry and then it will remove the ptt....at least this is how ive done it several times on my curve....there are docs on here on how to do it...you can also use javaloader ive heard.

Thanks everyone. I will go and check it out!

You should see how fast the little send/receive arrows in the upper right corner move when on WiFi! They are like blurring!

Brings up my Weather Underground moving NexRad weather map in just a few seconds now! This is going to be a little more handy than I thought!

Yes it has been technology over kill this week. I had ordered and my new Dell XPS 1710 laptop also arrived today. As I am heading out the door to go pick-up the 8820, here comes FedEx with the new laptop!

I caved and just ordered it online. Figured I'd save myself the heartache of trying to get one of my local stores to sell me one. Hopefully, it'll be here Mon or Tues!

How is the earpiece volume while on a call?

If your wifi network is encrypted how does it work? In addition can you have numerous wifi connections?

Volume is just the same as the 8800, very good for me.

My network is not but if it were you could put the encryption code in it and your are up and running.

Yes you can save connection settings and log on quickly at each different place.

It works well, they did a good job with the software.
