Hi, well I have sold a few blackberry 7290 phones online...and some people I sold it to have been having problems using their at&t 3g sim card with it. One of them says it doesn't fit, the others have network problems...now I want to know are the at&t 3g sim cards compatible for blackberry 7290 or other versions of blackberry ? Please help! Thanks.

All SIM cards are exactly the same size, no matter how many gs they are good for...

Yes that's what I thought as well all sim cards are the same size...but does the 3g sim card cause network problems on non-3g devices like this one ?

Sure. If the firmware on the (relatively) old 7290 doesn't recognize the 3G SIM, there will be problems.

well the latest version for 7290 is 4.1 I think...will updating to that fix the problem ?
