Default Do full body protector films collect lint, trash, hair, etc ?

I heard the full body clear plastic, multi-piece films are slightly tacky and tend to collect lint, dust, hair, etc.

Does anyone have actual experience with these ? Do you find that they do collect stuff on them ?

Only on the edges of each peice - but it's pretty easy to scrap it away with the edge of your fingernail.

Mine doesn't. Even if it did, as the one with the binary name mentioned, you can scrape it off pretty easily if it did.

They also lose their tackiness pretty soon in any case.

Mine does, but it isn't bad. The worst thing is after using it for a few months, it left permenant marks on my screen.

What brand did you use? I use the Best Screens Ever and replace then every 6 to 8 months, just a little bit of rubbing alcohol and it's good to go.

I use Best Skins Ever and just replace when the edges get dirty.

I just put Best Screens Ever on my Bold the other day. I do get some lint build up around the edges but nothing too bad. Have a look..

I use the Invisible Shield and it only picks up stuff at the edges as well.

The BSE on my 8320 picked up some dirt - only on the edges that I had not properly sealed to the device.

is it ok to use a blow dryer, from a distance to help curved areas of the shield adhere properly ?

i ordered the full body shield for the storm from zagg, it hasn't arrived yet.

i'm hoping i can do this correctly, maybe let the phone sit in a heated/warm environment for several hours (maybe my car dashboard during the day).

after that i'll slip the phone into the silicon blackberry jacket.

Depending on how much water you use, it's pretty dry in a few hours without high heat. I've put mine on top of a cable box, but have also just left it on the table.

But it does take maybe 2 days to dry all the way. They say 24 hours, but it looks way better that 2nd day so it has to be drying further.

Oh, on the topic of the thread, I use Bodyguardz which is a full body covering like Invisible Shield. They went to a thinner versioin that fits better to the phone. It stays stuck to the phone better and no longer collects lint around the edges. My original ones were ugly looking in 2 or 3 months. Since they went to the thinner version I've had one on for 4 months that looks a week old.
