Default Dead 7750 now working again, what to do?

Please Login to Remove!

My boss tells me 3 days ago that his 7750 from Verizon had died. He went by the Verizon store hoping to convince them to send him one of the new 7250s. Well they did not, but instead Fedexed him a new 7750. I had not even looked at the old 7750. I went to get his charging cradle to charge up the new one and finally got to look at the supposedly dead BB. The screen was on with a reminder showing. I dismissed the reminder and had nothing but a white screen. I took the battery out, put it back in, and after booting up, all his e-mail that had been waiting in BES came streaming in. Seems to be working fine now. Since he didn't get the new 7250 I may just have him wait a couple of days before I go through the trouble of setting up the new one. What do you guys think?

Hard to say but if it has caused you problems once it could again? If anything keep it a few days to be certain but regardless Verizon will just do a warranty swap on their end so your better off keeping the new 7750 and being done with it...

Yea that was kinda what I was thinking. I guess it could be a problem with the battery but no way to be sure. Will Verizon be able to assign his old phone number to the new BB without me taking it to the store?

I got the new one activated but when I was synching his contacts with the desktop manager I got some kind of out of memory error. I removed the battery and after booting up the memory error seems to have gone. Now I need to figure out the best way to wipe the old unit of all data.
