Default Blackberry 9700 for Tmobile, Use AT&T?

Please Login to Remove!

So I'm excited as all hell to see a 3G blackberry FINALLY from Tmobile. Only problem is the price tag. Could I simply use a at&t unlocked 9700 and have the exact same phone then functionality wise? I've never used an unlocked phone and the tmobile 9700 is selling for $450+ everywhere I look, since there isn't a used market yet.

Thanks.

You can use it but you won't get 3G fuctionality. T-Mobile and AT&T use different frequencies and the 9700s are not compatible.

Yes, T-mobile's 9700 will work on AT&T, but again, you will not get 3G functionality.
