Default Blackberry on o2

Please Login to Remove!

Ive got a blackberry 7230 that im currently haiving problems getting it to connect to o2's GPRS so I can check my mail and browse etc...

Basically, theres a bit of a tail behind it that got it to where it is now. It started out on t-mobile, but was unlocked and sold on ebay brand new to an american business man over in the uk for a time. He used it on a vodaphone pay monthly thing through his work and used all the email, browser and everything. Just before he went home he droped it in a pond and it stopped working so he passed it on to me to play with.

Now, 18 months on i was messing with it again and I dropped it myself and it turned on with a debugger menu and I eventually navigated off that and now it seems fine.

I want to use it on o2, and it works fine as a phone and for texting, but i have no internet access. It displays 'Data connection Refused' on the bit where it shows what network its on. I upgraded its firmware which gave it a few new features but still no GPRS.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get my blackberry to work online so I can browse and see my emails.

You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account in order to use the BlackBerry for any thing beside voice and SMS. Without a BlackBerry Data Plan you can not get Internet or e-mail.

Yes, you must get that from your operator. And with PAYG SIM, it's highly unlikely they will offer it.

Nope. You can't sync e-mails with Outlook.

Sorry - sounds like you are out of luck for now.
