Youtube's Crappy Resolution

Got a new Tour recently.
This thing has a higher resolution display than the iPhone.
So why do YouTube videos stream in a lower resolution? YouTube videos look great on the iPhone.
Is there a way to make a Blackberry Youtube app that 'tricks' YouTube into thinking the client phone is an iPhone and delivers the high-quality stuff? I know the phone is capable of it. Videos played from my memory card look gorgeous.
