Default Phone freezes

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased a used 8700g on ebay. When I first got the phone the battery was totally dead. I was anxious to jump in and tried to explore most of the menus but over an hour of charging only gave me about 10 minutes of use before the battery died again. I was able to navigate most of the menus and it seemed to work fine. The charger has such a short cord it was too uncomfortable to use it on the charger. So, I put it on the charger and left it alone for 18 hours. During that time I called T-Mobile and turned on data services for my account. I also printed the user manual so I could learn the device features and menus properly.

When I picked the phone up again, it behaved totally different. I no longer had the battery issues. Instead, in the main menu, when I click on the scroll button nothing happens for half of the icons. For the other half of the icons, it opens a menu but freezes in that menu and will not respond to the scroll up or down or scroll click. When I press the red escape button I get a blank white screen. The only way out of the blank white screen is to reset the battery.

I've never used a blackberry before and am not familiar with them. It seems to me that this one is defective. I can't understand why it seemed to work at first.

Any ideas?

thx

Wes

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

Seems to me you are due a refund from the seller. Good luck.
