I looked around and haven't seen this mentioned.

I found a bug with the media player to add to the list. It's pretty easy to reproduce. When you pause a video or song, then put it in the background or not, then take an incoming call, it will resume playing after you end the call, whether you wanted it to or not. Not a big deal at all.

The real problem is if you have a video paused in the background with another app running, then end an incoming call, the video screen will be playing on top of whatever app you were on, blocking the view. So you gotta close whatever open apps you have until the media player comes up, or do some guesswork with the app switcher (since you cant see it).

It only seemed to do this when I ended the call, not when the other person disconnected first. The videos I used were DVDs converted with mencoder (found in the sticky post on this forum).

So my questions were if it happened to you guys before, has it been reported, and the best way to report it

you know I found another bug...if you burp, cough, hickup, fart, yawn, and sneeze at the same time the pearl will automaticly do a search for inapropreate material so try not to do all those things around kids.

also happened to me, BUT, it was related to the video I was playing. I converted one video without mencoder and one with. The one converted without mencoder does this. The one with mencoder, does not. I can reproduce it over and over. I think there are plenty of weeknesses in the Media Player that RIM will be addresssing this soon. After all this is the first push into this area for them. Seems like they just should have purchased a tried and true MP though. IMHO

This can be a real problem. I record radio talk shows and listen to them at my convenience and I will be listening at work on my headphones and then head out to a meeting and I have paused the show and exited (not escaped because that stops and closes the media player) to the home screen. If I get a call and hang up, Ignore a call (using the Ignore function) or just plain don't answer it and let it go to vmail on its own it will start playing through the speakers. This can pose as a real problem when you have Howard Stern come on your speakers in the middle of a business meeting. I don't know if you have heard it on Sirius but it is far from appropriate in the meeting. Luckily, I learned this problem on the weekend when I was not in a meeting and note my current position and fast forward when I restart.

I just hope that in the future releases, they will have the media player remain in the state (Play or Paused) it was in before it the phone rang.

If anyone has figured out how to prevent this from happening I would be happy to hear suggestions. I am not a newbie to this forum or BB so I have searched the board looking for this answer unless I missed something.
