So I just received it in the mail and put the 8130 on the cradle last night to charge... the cradle itself feels solid...great... looks to be well built...

I put my pearl in there and it immediately began to charge. perfect.

one thing I noticed though... after the pearl charged to 100%, the little "charging" icon that appears on the pearl's screen no longer showed.

Usually, the pearl will always show the charging "plug" icon when plugged in, whether it's at 100% charge or not.

Does the Seidio cradle charger trickle charge? or cut the power to the Pearl once it's reached 100%?

I took the pearl out of the cradle... and put it back in to see if the charging "plug" icon would show again... but it didn't. I tried it again, took it out, put it back into the cradle... still no charging icon. This was all while the Pearl was at 100% charge.

Seidio, is this normal? or should the charging "plug" icon always show if sitting in the cradle, regardless of battery charge level?

By the way, the contacts on the cradle and Pearl were cleaned - there's nothing blocking the contacts. And I am not using any skin/case on the Pearl that might get in the way of the contacts.

On my Pearl (when I had it) my charging icon would go away once it was fully charged (100%). Same thing on my 8700g and my current 8320. I don't think there is anything to be concerned about.

I have a curve, not a pearl, but on my phone with the normal charger the charging icon goes away once the phone is at 100%.

Doesn't really answer your question, but it's just a thought that it would be fine.
