One of my staff members recently received a uncaught exception: java.lang.illegal State Exception on his 7520 device. He powers his device off at night, when he powered it on this morning he got the error and some of his icons are missing. I had him pull the battery and it booted up with the same error. He can send and receive email and his calendar as well as adress book appear to be fine. Is the only way to rid the device of this error to wipe the device and reinstall the OS?

Reloading the OS should fix the problem. Worst case is that the device is going bad and has to be replaced.

Thanks for the quick response. I kind of figured that would work, just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I should try before reinstalling the OS! I hope that works, replacing his device is a hassle with all the account BS attached .
