Smile EDGE issue

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BB bold, 9000! Its been perfectly fine ever since i bought it in Jan 2010...i tried downloading skype yesterday from my phone, and ever since then, my phones connection died. The data plan I had bought? Had died. My service provider said I still had the connection. I was connecting with wifi at home, that only worked for one day. Now I see the capital EDGE written, but it refuses to connect to browser or any messengers. Im wondering it its cause of downloading skype.

Oh yes.. it says error 65 when i sign in on google from wifi. Can anyone help me with this matter?

Delete SKYPE. It is only for the 9600 series on Verizon. Will not work on any other device or carrier at the present time. Once you delete it, do a battery pull and see if 3G comes back.

If you still get error 65 (connection error), re-register the host routing table, resend service books and do another battery pull.

If these steps do fix the problem, you probably have some corrupted files some place and you will need to wipe with Jl_Cmdr and reload the OS.

Check the yellow sticky at the top of the 9000 section. We have instructions there. That is only the last resort however.
