I just got my 8100 yesterday. I have all the tone settings correct. Now, when I get a message, I got tones earlier in the day. I set a wake up alarm and it did not ring!!!!! This is very very important to me. Good thing I woke up anyway. I tried to run down the list of tunes and nothing! I removed the battery and put it back in and it worked then. Does anyone else have a similar expierence? I don't want to run into this again.
I flashed the latest o2 update and everything seems ok so far. My ringer is working again. I am using a T-MO unlocked handset, flashed with o2 on cingular service. Everything works great so far.
actually there seems to be an issue where if you plug in a headset in general, your ringtones can stop working until you "reboot" the phone. I believe T-mobile is aware of this and is fixing it in the next firmware.
