I currently have a Google Apps Premier account which utilizes IMAP (POP is disabled) Using an outlook client to connect to g-mail works excellent so I know my g-mail account is behaving properly.
I've set up my blackberry 8330 via AT&T BIS server. Instructions from Google are simple enough and everything works well except for deletions.
When a message is deleted from within g-mail using a browser on a desktop (not using the blackberry) then the delete is never propagated to my blackberry and the message is never removed. Any help is appreciated?
Google/G-Mail obviously supports this functionality as an IMAP connection to an outlook client (and others) works just fine in this respect. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior with a blackberry client.
I was taking about an hour or more for deleted mail to sync. However, I loaded the Gmail Apps mail client and new deleted and read email isn't sync'd anymore. I haven't had a chance to do any troubleshooting yet.
Well. I got off the phone with ATT BIS support and was informed that BIS does not propogate deletions in a mailbox out to the blackberry. You need BES for that.
Can someone verify this is correct... Is this an ATT limitation or simply a BIS limitation??
