On the top of my 8330 I have the number 1 with a red star only next to it. I know about the e-mails, BB messages, but never got this before and can not figure it out. Anybody help me out?

Might be a WAP Message. Message folder>Menu>View Folder>WAP Push Messages?

Tried that for WAP push messages and says no messages. Thanks anyways

Yes, I have only one contact, my son, and I sent him a message and ask him. He did not send one. is there a way to check to see if I have a message from somebody I don't know? thanks

Does it still remain on your BlackBerry after you restart it.. or even do a battery pull?

I with you Raja the Red star makes me think BBM. But OP stated it was not that.

it's gone at battery pulled and restarted. thanks for the help, would like to know what it was or cause it to show up sometime in the future anyways. thank you
