Anybody carry two BB's?
Please Login to Remove!
I have a company BB voice and data. I also carried an MPX220 which recently died. I'm thinking of buying a bb for myself. Even though I currently get my personal email on my company phone i would like to store all my contacts, calendar and everything else on my phone. Can't sync with my company phone. Also on my days off i wouldn't need my company phone.
Anythoughts on carrying two?

I have a company 7250, as well as a 8700c Personal. My company is fixing to switch to Cingular, so I will only have one in the next month or so.

I have a 7290 and an 8700c. We have all of our users on the 7290 and plan to upgrade them to 8700c devices over the next several months so I was testing both devices and so I'll have both for a little while longer.

I carried 2 BlackBerries last year. I carried a 7290 for work and a 7100r for personal use. This year it's the 8700r for business and personal use as well as a handful of cell phones that I sim swap into on the weekends.

yes, 2 here for the last two months, and yes it's over kill for me.
7510 nxtl (had it for 2 years)
7130 (vzn), trying to adjust to it enough to replace 7510, but it hasn't happened yet, I might have to wait for the verizon 8700 whenever that's available, I really miss my home screen shortcuts.
For RIM, not including the ability to turn off "dialing from home screen" really cripples the 7130 (for me).

I'm on a personally-owned 8700c that lets me access my company mail/calendar... but I refuse to give up my Treo, so I carry a data-only plan on it.

Well, here's one who thinks the look and feel of the 8700 is great and it's the best BB ever. Never had a "dust problem" - and I had a very early 8700c and now I have an 8700g, and I don't think it's cheap.
Different than the 7290 - absolutely. And we have many people switching from perfectly good BBs to the 8700s.... Because they like the screen, the speed and the way they look. Not one person at work has said they "feel cheap".

I have an 8700r for Rogers and an unlocked 7290 for my Swisscom SIM (I travel a lot and the company pays the swiss one). While it's a bit of a pain lugging 2 BBs around sometimes, it beats a BB and a cellphone bacause one laptop sync cable will charge and sync both units, so I actually never bring a charger anymore (let alone 2), which is bonus. As for the complaints about the 8700 build quality, I disagree. The finish is glossier and therefore arguably "cheaper looking", but really the big difference is the shiny display face and chrome trim, which imparts a greater impression of "cheapness" than the older recessed antireflective displays. In my opinion the quality is as good, just different. I agree that the 8700 display is far more susceptible to scratching, but not much to be done other than putting on a protective shield if you want to retain all the advantages of the new his-res display.

Yep, I carry the 8700c as well as 7100g. Switched jobs and new job gave me the 8700 so use that for corp stuff and 7100 I use for personal stuff. Wish I could just create folders on one :( anyone figure out how to do that yet? Different email accounts going into seperate folders?

I had 2 for awhile, my 7130e that I was under contract for and my new 8700g, I sold the 7130e and hooked up a e815. carrying 2 was just clunky and i Wouldn't do it agian. espcially when you only have email going to one of them makes it almost pointless...

Over Kill for 2 BB? Depends on what you need. I have 2 BB and a sidekick. One BB for my business with my husband. One BB for my own buisness, and the sidekick for personal and fun. Nextel, Cingular and Tmobile respectively. I travel thr US and Canada and I must have service at all times. Plus internet access since so much of my buisness is internet dependent. Sidekick internet access is totally awesome!!
I will have a new BB 8700 at home whenever I get there. Anyone tell me has the internet access on it changed a lot? Is it as good as the sidekick yet?

Why do you refuse to give up your treo? Just curious as I went from 7100 to treo650 and now flirting with moving to the 8700. Got 28 more days to decide!
