Default UDP send() blocking when out of coverage

Please Login to Remove!

I am developing an applicaiton that uses datagram communication. When I attempt to send a datagram using the DatagramConnection.send() method and the device is out of coverage the thread blocks inside the send().

Is this the correct behavior? Is there a way I can specify a timeout? Can I check the coverage status before attempting to send?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff
