uh, what?
Just enter the hostname:
http://<hostname>
Like, if the server was named mrpibb, and the page you wanted was drpepper.html, then it would be like this: http://mrpibb/drpeppe.html
Yeah I tryed that and I get a "not found". I am wondering is it something to do with how MDS is configured, or is the default config ok for accessing the intranet.
Make sure MDS is enabled on the BES server. Make sure MDS is enabled for your user in the BES Manager. Make sure you don't have any host headers or anything binding your webserver to an external IP address or something.
Can you open a web browser on the BES server and hit the intranet site? If yes, then double check MDS settings, if no, then double check your webserver config.
Do you have to add that site to the MDS proxy exclusion list? I had to do that for any Intranet site that I connected to from the BlackBerry. (Using 4.0)
On you BES server, open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts It's a text file, add the name you want to call your intranet and the IP address of the server.
192.168.0.2 intranet
^^ that would be an example of what you need to put in there...
Sounds like MDS was not enabled for your BB device itself.
In other words, when you "activiated" your device, the MDS service book was delivered to the device. It would look something like "DESKTOP: IPPP" in your service book listing.
This is a common configuration issue that we've been running into when getting our customers to beta our new BB software.
