I get an Uncaught exception: Exception thrown in a midlet constructor.

My constructor is empty, anyone come accross this before?

Sounds like an issue with the handheld firmware, what are you running? Upgrading the firmware definitely changes how the J2ME works, they've definitely caused bugs in some releases. When I was running 4.0.2.35 all my java programs would crash after I quit out, but when I upgraded to 4.0.2.49 all the problems went away.

Hi Guys,

I have the same problem as rr99bb, every Midlet I try to start on my BB Pearl will exit immediately with the error message: "Uncaught exception: Exception thrown in a midlet constructor". Did any of you resolve this (and how) or have any other advice on how to attach this problem? And if I need to update my firmware, how can I do that? Thanks a lot!
