Angry 7730 blocked HELP !!

Hello,

after 3 or so happy months of using my 2nd hand Blackberry 7730 it has suddenly stopped working. The Network (Cablecom via Orange in Switzerland) always says SOS also even when my husband puts in his Swisscom SIM card!

My SIM works OK in a boring old mobile with those funny keys that make it impossible to write SMS's. I'm desperate. Sychronisation works via the cradle connected to my notebook but when I try to do anything on the Blackberry I am prompted to enter my PIN and nothing happens when I press any of the keys.

HELP, HELP, HELP.

Sounds like the dataplan has been deleted. Have you resent the service books? Pulled the battery to reboot?

you did not mention the Carrier but a BB is generally useless except for the phone without a data plan. If your old phone SIM was for a standard cell phone and now it stopped working the carrier may have updated the device number in the records. some dont but some do.

What is a data plan? How is it reset??

I have tried rebooting and resetting the device. What do you mean by updating the device number? My carrier says there is no problem at their end as the SIM work in my works in my other mobile.

Thanks
