I am with ATT aright now and i am looking to get a bb storm unlocked. I know that we are able to use it with Att and tmobile. I already have an unlimited data and messages plan. My question is if i get an unlocked storm and register with bb on their site for the bis so i can get bb features, will att automatically switch my plan to blackberry plans? or will the bis not completely register? will it be the same for tmobile (im considering switching to them)

I am using a windows mobile phone now with buying the smartphone data plan.

If you want to use the BB features, email, maps, BBM, Facebook, BB browser, etc, then you MUST have the BB data plan, no matter which carrier you use, no matter where in the world you are.

ATT says they screen device IMEIs on a regular basis and if they find an IMEI requiring a specific type of data plan (i.e. a BB on a generic smartphone plan) they will change it to the appropriate plan (in this case the BB data plan).

Have they done it? I can't say, but that is the policy.
