Was updating to 4.5 and device got disconnected. Now device will not boot nor can the desktop manager find the device. The LED blinks red with a dubble blink and the screen stays black. Any one have any ideas I have already tried BlackBerry 101: How to Reload the Operating System on a Nuked BlackBerry | CrackBerry.com but I don't get the COM port option.

Install BDM 5.0 and you will be able to see the device again
If you have multiple OS's installed.. Delete Vendor XML in App loader folder

but the BDM upgrade will find the issue. Unless you are using a laptop..
the look for USBRoot hub and turn off where sindows wants to turn power off to this device you would need to unselect this
