hi guys,

I just bought a blackberry bold from ebay. After browsing the internet and this forum, I found out that there were some issues of PIN being deactivated on the pre-release phone. I'm a bit paranoid now so my question is, is there anyway to know if my pin being deactivated or not? I don't have any carrier yet because I'll be out of the country for quite a while.

Any comments will be appreciated.

You will need to call your carrier when you pick one. Was it real cheap?

Ok, thanks. I got it for 480 dollars new. Is that considered cheap? I'm pretty new in the blackberry community. In fact, this is my first blackberry ever

That's cheap if it turns out to really be new. Lots of mobiles sold as "new" have actually been activated before, often causing problems like the PIN being associated with an existing account. Check out this: Buying a BlackBerry off eBay - BlackBerryFAQ
